Background. Non-diabetic glucosuria in healthy individuals is one of the mechanisms of energy supply for the work of the nephron and can provoke the persistence of the uropathogen.
Objective. Evaluation of the manifestations of non-diabetic glucosuria during positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) with 18 F-FDG glucose and its laboratory manifestation in urinary tract infections (UTIs).
Material and methods. PET/CT study of molecular-cellular manifestations of non-diabetic glucosuria in 30 healthy individuals, as well as laboratory manifestations of non-diabetic glucosuria during implementation in 30 patients with recurrent UTIs was performed.
Results. Visual PET/CT confirmation of the formation of molecular-cellular manifestations of non-diabetic glucosuria in healthy individuals and its laboratory manifestation in patients with UTIs was obtained. The use of NefroBest-N phytocomplex leveled glucosuria and increased the efficiency of pathogen eradication.
Conclusion. Non-diabetic glucosuria can be one of the reasons for the long-term persistence of the uropathogen.
