Thrombocytosis – an increase in the number of platelets over 450×109/l.
Clinical case. A clinical case of a patient with thrombocytosis and end-stage renal failure associated with urolithiasis, ischemic heart disease and arterial hypertension, diabetes mellitus, treated with hemodialysis, insulin, erythropoietin is presented. Differential diagnosis for thrombocytosis presents difficulties for doctors of various specialties. Complications of thrombocytosis are little known to a wide range of practicing doctors.
